This park has turned into a walk park. It has one side adjoined to a wetland preserve. A nice place to spend a little while to enjoy the lake view and stretch, little else. There is a bit of playground equipment for children and a small snack shop. Public restrooms.
Fabulous family friendly park. However if it's very nice out make sure to be prepared to not find parking or simply having to park across the street, which is not a big deal. Bathrooms are a little dirty so I suggest walking to the nearby Starbucks. The view from this park is absolutely wonderful and you can see downtown Seattle skyline and mount Rainier at times. Great place for kids but just be careful to keep an eye out because the lake is close to the playground. You can paddle board, play volleyball, and ice even see people fishing here.
Nice city park. The restroom, beach shower & snack stand facility is a little old but it's clean & face it there aren't many places you can get a bottle of water or an ice cream sandwich for a $1 at a park. A great place to visit on Lake Washington.
I love the chamomile growing on the beach shore. I like laughing watching the children play and do kid stuff that makes no sense. I enjoy having seaweed throwing wars in the swim area. I like seeing the ducks butts floating in the water. This is a great small community park. Always clean and safe. And there's really good salmon and chips across the street. This is one if the first beaches around Seattle that warms up in the summer.
Beautiful park for families or couples to take a stroll. Parking was not too bad for a Friday night. Lots of places to go within walking distance and you can't beat the scenic water view. Recommended.
